Prologue

You Are Art

You are matter + therefore you are art. If you choose to be, that is.

My life's work is rooted in legacy, purpose and expansion.

It wasn't too long ago that I decided Art was going to be the most important thing in my life. Or rather, love. And everything I do to create more love in my life.

I'm quite an intense person I've been told and maybe that's because I just know; that we only have so much time in this physical world. And I don't want to undo anything here I've already set out to do.

When I use the word art, I fully mean the way we live our life. Because art is alive + profoundly eternal. What we create - the things, experiences, innovations and feelings that come from our breath. Art is so much more than pretty paintings, in fact pretty paintings are just good design. Art is everything else. And yet everything is art because everything is love.

I have organized this portfolio into a way I feel is best for how I interpret the physical world.

Babies are a metaphor for creations,

Seed is an analogy for all the support I've miraculously received,

Womb is my daily process of what turns seeds into gravity, walking living beings...

And Mothering, well she is our gratitude living in free air.

They take on completely different forms of their own. With their own identities and their own names. They are not mine to own or call home. But they are mine to share, protect, foster and understand.

Credentials

The Prestigous Resume

If you want to know who Nikki is, you might see her perched tall and proud on one of her many titles.

Founder of Planting Good Seeds — an artists' recuperation project for the broke, honest and transforming creative. Think of it as a nomadic rehabilitation center that uses volunteering abroad as a mechanicsm for unblocking artists, healing inner wombs and reconnecting people to their truth. Planting Good Seeds is a new nonprofit-in-the-making, currently seeking fiscal sponsorship while laying the foundation for La Semilla Taganguera.

Speaking of—she’s also the Co-Founder of La Semilla Taganguera a youth-centered registered nonprofit in Taganga, Colombia. Through its creative language program, seeds of expression are planted that inspire young people to take pride in their voices and their land. What begins in the classroom flows into the streets and beaches, where kids now join cleanup parties, giving back, protecting, and caring for their home as their ancestors once did.

You can learn more about why this work is so urgent by checking out her role as Executive Producer of Welcome to My Pueblo, a video docu-series that transforms the way the world sees third world countries.

She is also the author of various self published poetry books exploring the journey back to one-self.

And if you want to peek into her daily creative process, you can follow her series of written letters — lovingly called Womb — exclusively here on her site.

Preface

My Background

A common thread in all of my creations traces back to my upbringing and education. I was raised in the United States by a powerhouse pair of American entrepreneurs — my parents — and later attended Babson College, a business school consistently ranked #1 in the world for its undergraduate entrepreneurship program.

The greatest gift given to me was the gift of entrepreneurship.

The belief that I could create my reality. The ability to be financially independent no matter where I decide to venture off to, creating what I want to create. And this continues to be the gift I give to all of you, hidden among my essays, artistic endeavors, and collaborative discussion clubs.

Entrepreneurship doesn't just involve the teaching of finances, investing or even sales and marketing performance. Entrepreneurship is not a teaching at all. It is a practice of creating value out of anything, which results in the ability to harness your emotional and mental stamina and use it to accomplish your wildest dreams. For me it was to sing and fly within this lifetime. Entrepreneurship is the practice of putting creativity into action, involving all parts of human emotion and relationship adaptability.

Why did I venture to third world countries to start these businesses?  Because "problems" are goldmines in the eyes of an opportunist.

I don't just help companies, founders and educators send their message. I help them search for more within themselves, their communities, while guiding us to remember our collective why
